About Camp Styria

In 1992 we’ve started in the Styrian region nearby Graz to make music in a large orchestra with young people from Austria, its neighbouring countries, from Australia and the USA.

We’ve been working on original orchestra literature under the guidance of an experienced team of professional musicians from Austrian and international orchestras, from music universities and music schools since almost 30 years in this Summer camp.

Prominent artists such as Katharina Stemberger, Karl Markovics and the well-known violinist Benjamin Schmid were available and took part actively to present with young musicians and teachers the impressive programmes in concert performances.

In addition to intensive music rehearsing a team responsible for all activities apart from music takes care of creative and fun leisure actions.

Our Camp in Schladming

In 2021 Schladming will be the venue for Camp Styria for the seventh time. Magnificently situated between Dachstein’s grand south walls and the Schladming Tauern this small mountain town Schladming is the center of the fantastic Styrian holiday destination.

Seven tourism regions with many attractions impress visitors with a broad range of offers, famed Styrian hospitality, accommodation of every type and an original rustic charm.
